Hello!

I'm Sofia. I'm a certified Visual Arts teacher, professor at Pratt Institute, and freelance artist with a Master's degree in art education. I have 6 years of experience working with students of all ages. I am skilled in a wide range of visual arts media including oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, all types of drawing, and digital art. I am also familiar with admissions portfolio expectations at both the high school and college level. I have worked with individual students as a school art teacher and as a tutor to develop artwork for portfolios in art and architecture. My passion is helping students to execute their own artistic visions and build the skills necessary to create a successful art portfolio.

My tutoring approach involves a combination of skill building with the student's chosen art materials and assistance with ideation for a fully developed art portfolio. I work with each individual student to create a tutoring program that works for their specific needs and artistic interests. My experience with a variety of materials and styles gives me the ability to create a customized curriculum based on the student's goals.
